One Earth Rising Creates the Purposeverse

If you haven't heard of the Metaverse, you soon will. Simply put, the Metaverse is a convergence of virtual spaces where the boundaries of our social interaction are almost unlimited. It's the convergent point: video gaming, social media, entertainment, and commerce - intersecting as one single explorable virtual experience.

The convergence is where the verticals cross all the horizontal touch points of our daily online lives. Borderless and expansive. 

In entertainment, the instantly recognizable manifestation of its existence is portrayed in Stephen Spielberg's film Ready Player One, a rich 3D space entered into by virtual reality goggles. Likewise, Apple, Inc. seems to be banking on 3D spatial audio as an audio-metaverse. Instead of opening our eyes, we will close them; a symphony of total sound transports our minds. EPIC GAMES have secured over $1 billion to create interconnected virtual game worlds - a theme park.

It is not just a single Metaverse. 
It's a space for the many. 
One size doesn't fit all. 
It is less McLuhan's Global Village, seen as the basis for the world wide web; more JRR Tolkien's all-encompassing world-building. 

I was one of the early architects of virtual worlds, and we developed virtual 3D spaces as immersive brand experiences. As a pioneer in the virtual world platform called Second Life, we developed projects with over 50 top Fortune100 companies, including IBM, DIAGEO, Vodafone, Unilever, Philips Design, Adidas, to name but a few. It culminated in a fully converged 3D world for team collaboration solutions called the Immersive Workspaces.

t was the first wave. Each project was a rich, immersive experience on your desktop PC. There was no doubt we were ahead of the curve, held back by the ubiquity of smartphones and the rise of Facebook et al. Now, in 2021, we've come full circle. We want more profound, richer experiences, not just information catalogs akin to our 15-year relationship with social media. In fact, we want to explore. Not live our lives simply by scrolling through a linear list. Instead, we are seeking a more profound connection - to each other, society and seek to understand what makes us human.

I'm often asked: why now? The simple answer: We're a society that doesn't see the medium; we focus on the storytelling and our ability to affect the narrative. We are at one with it. Therefore, the products we develop have to act as sandboxes of creative expression. Or as we say, layered virtual experiences on top of our real world. We now have all the right tools at our fingertips.

We have a collective opportunity to take these powerful new worlds and turn them into tools of positive societal change. 

As we've evolved at One Earth Rising, as a startup, we have always envisaged that our video games and immersive experiences are unified with a continued straightforward call to action: making the world a better place for us all.

May 2021 official launch: High Voltage X Extreme E - the official streaming partnership with the Extreme E off-road electric racing across the globe. Focused on Climate Change awareness #racefortheplanet

Hard launched in May 2021: HighVoltage X Extreme E is a partnership with the Extreme E electric off-road racing as a streaming broadcast channel on Amazon's Twitch.TV (traffic: 980Million). The channel is a hybrid of real-time streaming broadcast medium combing video (live feeds and Emmie, our host streamer); audience participation (chatting and interaction); video gaming, and interactive on-screen gaming. We're also incorporating our one-login solution for donations, charity events, merchandise, interactive gaming, and increasing our revenue reach.
